Content Objectives

Standards typically have 35-40 statements per course and must be built out into teachable and measurable content objectives as part of their implementation. An approximate 5x expansion into discrete content is the granularity needed for operational use. We further specify the content objective with a target cognitive level, e.g. Webb’s Depth of Knowledge (DOK).

This is the level needed to accurately align the taught curriculum to standards. And when this level is used to track and manage student learning, the data is direct reading and actionable without interpretation making it equally usable for teachers, students and parents.
